Hagstone Publishing announces new Imprint -
Hagstone Handmade will focus on Craft and DIY
Portland, Oregon. Hagstone Publishing announces the debut of Hagstone Handmade, a new nonfiction imprint. Hagstone Handmade will focus on craft and DIY tutorials and patterns. The imprint launches today with the release of several knitting patterns acquired from the now-defunct Greenwoman Studio, with new projects scheduled to be released in the near future.
“We want to celebrate creativity in all its forms," says Michelle Simkins, publisher and owner of Hagstone Publishing, "And we're excited to bring esoteric, whimsical, one-of-a-kind patterns and tutorials to our readers."
With the launch of the Handmade imprint, Hagstone Publishing will begin accepting submissions of patterns and tutorials for publication.
“We're especially interested in sustainable craft: projects done entirely by hand, utilizing repurposed materials or renewable resources," says Simkins. "We're also interested in titles that emphasize a connection to the earth, or explore art and craft as a spiritual practice."
